Job description
- Build and optimize high-converting landing pages
- Modify and improve existing product pages and category pages
- Work within the Miva page builder and template system
- Perform light frontend development and code modifications
- Improve mobile responsiveness, page speed, and user experience
- Implement promotional pages, seasonal campaigns, and conversion-focused layouts
- Assist with SEO-focused page structure and content implementation
- Troubleshoot layout, styling, and functionality issues across the website
- Maintain visual consistency and brand standards throughout the site
Requirements
Do you have experience in Web design?, We are looking for an experienced ecommerce website specialist to help improve, expand, and optimize our existing ecommerce website. This is not an entry-level Shopify-style content role, and it is not a full-stack software engineering position. We are looking for someone in the middle, a technically capable person who understands ecommerce website structure, landing page development, frontend customization, user experience, and light development work.
What We Are NOT Looking For
- Someone who only has experience managing prebuilt Shopify themes
- Someone focused strictly on graphic design with no technical knowledge
- A full-stack engineer building applications from scratch
What We ARE Looking For
- Someone who understands how ecommerce websites actually function behind the scenes
- Someone who can improve, refine, optimize, and expand an established website
- Someone who can take direction but also proactively identify areas for improvement
- Someone who understands conversion-focused ecommerce design, not just aesthetics
This position will focus heavily on improving and expanding our current website built on the Miva ecommerce platform., * Experience working with ecommerce platforms beyond basic drag-and-drop builders
- Experience with Miva Merchant strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of HTML and CSS
- Working knowledge of JavaScript/jQuery
- Experience editing templates and frontend page structures
- Understanding of responsive/mobile-first web design
- Experience building conversion-focused landing pages
- Familiarity with SEO best practices for ecommerce websites
- Experience with image optimization, page speed, and Core Web Vitals
- Ability to troubleshoot frontend website issues independently
- Understanding of ecommerce UX/UI best practices
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with custom ecommerce platforms or heavily customized stores
- Experience with Miva template language and framework
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, GA4, and conversion tracking
- Experience with A/B testing and conversion optimization
- Experience working with automotive, aftermarket, or enthusiast brands is a plus
- Basic understanding of APIs, integrations, and ecommerce data flow
- Familiarity with Klaviyo, feeds, schema markup, or structured data is a plus
