Job description

Enterprise Solutions is seeking a Data Analytics Specialist who can improve Delta Air Lines’ data foundation, uncover meaningful business and customer insights, and turn them into improvements for Delta and our customers. This position will focus on Delta’s Payment and Ticketing ecosystem and its ties to the rest of Delta.

  • Improve data schema and quality across Delta’s Payment, Ticketing, and Digital system
  • Integrate Payment and Ticketing data to the rest of Delta’s business data to understand downstream financial and customer impact
  • Using data-driven insights, drive meaningful improvements to Delta’s Payment, Ticketing, and Digital processes and roadmap
  • Create and automate key reports to give other business and technical stakeholders insight into Delta’s Payment and Ticketing performanc

Requirements

  • Experience creating dashboards, data-driven reports, and predictive models
  • SQL and Python proficiency, in Cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and on-premise environments, is required
  • Experience working with large, complex, and distributed data sets across multiple systems
  • Experience identifying and resolving data quality and integration gaps
  • Ability to translate data insights into measurable business impact, and influence process and roadmap decisions
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States., * Results oriented and capable of meeting or exceeding deadlines with attention to detail and follow through
  • BA/BS or advanced degree(s) in quantitative disciplines such as Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, and/or Computer Science
  • Working knowledge of airlines and airline commercial data
  • 3+ years in quantitative fields such as Finance and IT
  • 3+ years in data analytics or data engineering role
  • Experience with Amazon Aurora, Teradata or equivalent
  • Payment industry experience is a plus
  • Capable of managing multiple projects and making well-informed priority tradeoffs
  • Ability to work independently with diverse groups in a time-sensitive environment
