Job description
As a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (APPSW) at the GS-2210-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Applies an extensive knowledge of different functional programs and program planning, evaluation, analysis, and budgeting techniques.
- Presents, analyzes, and verifies data, techniques, methodologies, and formats associated with budget and program development.

Bridges between initial concept to actualization and fielding, connecting appropriate stakeholders across the organization.
- Directs activities related to the acquisition, budgeting, resource allocation, and operational sustainment., The selecting official may choose to conduct interviews, and once the selection is made, you will receive a notification of the decision. Requirements
You may qualify at the GS-14 grade level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
- Leading and managing enterprise-wide Information Management and Technology (IM&T) programs, mission systems, services, acquisitions, and investments
- Overseeing IT governance, cybersecurity, and systems integration
- Developing and implementing technology strategies to enhance information sharing and support data-driven decision-making
- Ensuring compliance with Department of Defense policies, regulations, and organizational standards while aligning IT resources to meet mission requirements.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
