Senior Network Engineer

This position is for a Senior Network Engineer to support our client in Washington DC. The role involves designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security., * Design and implement network architectures, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks

• Manage and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
• Ensure network security through implementation of access controls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and security protocols
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to maintain optimal performance
• Collaborate with other IT teams to support application and system requirements
• Document network designs, configurations, and procedures

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering or related IT field
• Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, OSPF, BGP, etc.)
• Knowledge of network security principles and best practices
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Clearance Requirement: Active Secret clearance required.
