Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer with deep expertise in Python-based automation testing and API validation. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and executing automated test solutions for enterprise applications and services, reporting directly to the QA Manager. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience building automation frameworks in Python, extensive API testing knowledge, and experience working with PDF libraries and document validation within automated testing environments. This individual will partner closely with QA, Development, Product, and Business teams to ensure high-quality software delivery across large-scale business initiatives., * Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts and frameworks for enterprise applications and APIs
- Create scalable automation solutions using Python and pytest
- Develop automated API testing solutions for RESTful services and microservices
- Utilize PDF libraries and document validation techniques within automation testing workflows
- Translate functional requirements and technical specifications into automated test cases
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, and automation suites
- Participate in requirements reviews and provide feedback on functionality, testability, and technical design
- Identify, document, track, and help resolve software defects
- Support CI/CD and DevOps-driven testing practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams throughout the SDLC
- Participate in production validation and post-release support activities

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in QA Automation or software test engineering
- Expert-level Python programming skills
- Strong hands-on experience with pytest automation framework
- Experience testing APIs using tools/frameworks such as Requests, Rest Assured, Karate, Postman, or similar
- Experience working with PDF libraries and PDF content validation within automated testing
- Strong understanding of automation framework design and best practices
- Experience with functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Understanding of TDD, ATDD, and modern QA methodologies
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Selenium or UI automation frameworks
- Experience with cloud platforms and distributed systems
- Experience with test data management and mocking/stubbing services
- Banking or financial services industry experience
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
- Familiarity with SQL and backend data validation
Benefits & conditions
Compensation: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour, W2
