Job description

We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Python, Pytest, and REST API automation. This role will develop and maintain automated tests, troubleshoot failures, manage defects, and support software releases across the full testing lifecycle., * Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and test scripts using Python and Pytest

  • Perform REST API automation and validate requests, responses, JSON/XML, status codes, and error scenarios
  • Test API gateways, downstream integrations, and authentication/authorization including OAuth, JWT, and 401/403 responses
  • Execute functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing
  • Use Postman/SoapUI for API testing and troubleshooting
  • Run automated tests through Jenkins/CI-CD and review test reports using Allure or Pytest HTML
  • Perform SQL/database validation
  • Analyze failures, identify root causes, and manage defects through resolution
  • Support releases, production validation, and post-deployment testing
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and QA teams
  • Maintain automation code using Git
  • Identify opportunities to improve automation coverage and efficiency

Requirements

  • 5+ years of QA automation experience
  • Strong Python and Pytest experience
  • Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks
  • Strong REST API testing and automation experience, including Python libraries such as requests
  • Postman or SoapUI
  • Jenkins or another CI/CD platform
  • Allure, Pytest HTML, or similar reporting tools
  • API gateway and downstream integration testing
  • Authentication/authorization testing
  • SQL and database validation
  • Git/source control
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause-analysis skills
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience

Preferred

  • JMeter/performance testing
  • TDD/ATDD
  • Cloud or containerized applications
  • Microservices and complex integrations
  • Relevant QA/testing certifications

Priority: Candidates should have strong, recent experience with Python, Pytest, REST API automation, Postman/SoapUI, Jenkins, Allure/HTML reporting, SQL, API gateway testing, downstream integrations, and authentication/authorization testing.
