Job description

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a passionate and dedicated Network Engineer to support military Space Programs. This position receives day-to-day operations guidance from program staff and will report to the LM IS SWFLANT IT OPS Manager., * Designing, implementing, and maintaining our server infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network components

  • Ensuring the security, integrity, and availability of our network devices and data
  • Collaborating with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and support of business applications
  • Developing and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies to continuously improve our server infrastructure
  • US Citizenship required at this facility

Requirements

  • 1+ years of Network Engineering experience (i.e. design, implementation, troubleshooting of complex network infrastructure)
  • Familiarity with designing LAN, WAN, and data center networks
  • Knowledge of OSI, TCP/IP Models, Layer 2/3 technologies (VLAN, OSPF, BGP)
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco hardware
  • Understanding of advanced DNS concepts
  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance Desired Skills:

  • Active CCNA (or higher) Cisco certification
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following: DISA STIGs, COMSEC, and/or TACLANEs
  • Strong network traffic analysis, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills
  • Functional understanding of Splunk for data collection, real-time monitoring, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis
  • Implementation and configuration of firewalls (Palo Alto preferred)
  • Understanding of virtualization technologies i.e. VMware, vSAN
  • Experience with Cloud Networking Infrastructure
  • Experience with network automation tools such as Ansible
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, Agile / Scrum environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio
  • Familiarity with installation and configuration of Big-IP (F5) Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Top Secret, Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
