5+ years of ETL Development experience Strong ETL development background with experience designing, building, and maintaining data integration workflows Experience with Apache NiFi preferred; candidates without NiFi experience must have a strong Data Engineering background and experience with similar ETL/data integration tools Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities Strong problem-solving and investigative mindset; able to ask the right questions, understand business requirements, and identify root causes rather than simply executing tickets Ability to contribute informed recommendations around data strategy and data movement solutions Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple product and engineering teams

About the company

Insight Global is looking to hire an ETL Developer for one of our clients in the St. Louis, MO area. This individual will join a high-paced environment supporting over 120 services across six product teams within the ordering department. They will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL workflows and data pipelines, with a focus on creating new data flows and enhancing existing integrations. Daily responsibilities will include working with Apache NiFi to build and support data movement processes, including flows that ingest data from Kafka topics, interact with Splunk APIs, and load data into various database platforms. This person will partner closely with technical and business stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and make informed recommendations around data strategy and architecture. The ideal candidate is proactive, investigative, and capable of balancing multiple priorities while delivering high-quality solutions in a fast-moving environment. This role is 4 days on site in St Louis MO or Dallas, TX.
