Job description

  • Assist in maintenance shutdowns, monitor Key Parameters of the Pulping Process, and adjust production schedules as needed to overall support mill performance.
  • Use Fiberline Visual Reports to monitor the and report key Fiberline KPI\u2019s on Quality, Chemical Usage and Environmental standards.
  • Maintain, develop, and enhance operator check list for startup and shutdown of equipment and support SME implementation of new process training systems.
  • Drive cost reduction projects and teams.
  • Weekend on call duty and weekly night calls.

People and Culture

  • Partner with safety department to maintain and enforce the safety program for the department and mill, ensuring compliance with OSHA and SW regulations and guidelines.
  • Report safety concerns and incidents. Participate in observing the high-risk task of the day (HRTD) and implement the Safety Excellence System.
  • Support mill initiatives to drive employee engagement.
  • Responsible that all employees understand and utilize all safety requirements of job functions; in addition to use all required PPE during job tasks.
  • Position requires full knowledge of safety requirements and ensure compliance and accountability.
  • Working knowledge all safety procedures (including LOTO, fall protection, confined space entry, hot work and JHA for each position, proper guarding, seat belts, dock locks, etc.).
  • Employee must follow standard work procedures and safe work., * Work in plant/mill environment; noisy work environment; exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures; maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations.

Technical Skills

  • Be able to read P&ID\u2019s
  • Understanding flow processes
  • Microsoft Excel proficient
  • Minitab, * Preferred: Two years of experience in an industrial setting as an employee or as an intern.
  • Working in team settings and alone., * Required: Bachelor\u2019s degree in Engineering
