Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a related technical field.
  • Experience with machine learning concepts and algorithms
  • Strong Python and other programming skills
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Experience with agile software development methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) Desired Skills:

  • Candidates with Agentic AI expertise will be afforded priority consideration!
  • Advanced experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, or Image Processing
  • Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, or Scikit-learn
  • Experience with Cloud and cloud native technologies like AWS and Kubernetes
  • Experience with MLOps or DevOps and CI/CD processes
  • Experience with unit testing and debugging techniques
  • Strong expertise in integrating disparate software systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex issues Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,435. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible. Description:Lockheed Martin Space will be hosting an invitation-only hiring event in very early September in Sunnyvale, CA. This requisition is to capture Level 2 through Level 3 Architecture & Algorithms / Agentic AI Machine Learning Engineer candidates to invite to the hiring event. We will be reviewing all Architecture & Algorithms / Agentic AI Machine Learning Engineer applicant resumes, contacting those that meet all of the Basic Qualifications and Desired Skills and may be a fit for one of our open roles, and interviewing candidates for the appropriate level opportunities. If invited to the event, you will be provided with the details regarding date, time, and location of the invitation-only hiring event.

We will be interviewing candidates at Level 2 through Level 3 for roles at the Space AI Talent Center. Candidates will be joining a cross-functional team of experts in research, data science, software development, physics, and mathematics. As a key member of this team, you will leverage cutting-edge AI/ML tools and techniques to tackle the most complex challenges in Space - all in support of our national security. Your expertise will grow and your experience will be put to the test! The positions are on-site 100% of the time.
