Job description

Provide hands-on IT field support across all Show Me Organics entities and locations, including cultivation, manufacturing, and retail sites in Missouri and Kentucky.

Responsibilities include end-user support, device deployment, inventory and asset management, and support of physical security technology (access control and camera systems). This role helps reduce downtime, improve consistency in deployments, and ensures IT work is documented and repeatable.

Essential Functions

Field and End-User Support

  • Provide onsite and remote support for day-to-day end-user issues; resolve common problems and escalate advanced issues according to IT procedures.

  • Perform workstation setup, refreshes, and swaps using standard builds and checklists.

  • Support meeting spaces and basic A/V needs as required.

Device Deployment and Configuration

  • Configure and deploy laptops/desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals (docks, monitors, scanners, printers) according to IT standards.

  • Validate deployments (updates applied, connectivity verified, peripherals tested) and confirm user readiness.

Access Control and Camera Support (Assisted)

  • Assist with installs and maintenance: device swaps, labeling, mounting assistance, basic

cabling/patching support, and validation testing.

  • Perform routine checks such as camera view verification, recording status review, and door reader status checks; document findings.

  • Escalate issues to the IT team with detailed notes, photos, and relevant identifiers (device name, location, serial/MAC, timestamps).

Inventory, Asset Management, and Logistics

  • Receive, stage, label, and deploy equipment; process returns/RMAs and coordinate shipping.

  • Maintain accurate asset records (serial number, asset tag, assigned user, site/location, status).

  • Organize IT storage areas and maintain deployment-ready spares/kits for site visits.

  • Transport equipment between company sites as needed.

Documentation and Work Tracking

  • Create/update tickets or tasks with clear, timely notes (symptoms, steps taken, outcome, next steps).

  • Maintain basic how-to documentation and checklists as directed.

Security, Compliance, and Professional Conduct

  • Follow security standards (approved tools, password/MFA practices, device handling) and site procedures for restricted areas.

  • Maintain confidentiality and chain-of-custody practices for devices and sensitive information.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; able to travel to company sites across all Show Me Organics entities as needed.

  • Clean driving record.

  • 2+ year of experience in IT support, field support, helpdesk, retail tech, or similar hands-on technical role (or equivalent practical experience).

  • Working knowledge of Windows environments, printers/scanners, and basic network

troubleshooting and architecture.

  • Strong organizational skills, professionalism, time management, and reliable follow-through.

  • Experience with ticketing systems and asset management practices.

  • Be able to pass a thorough back ground check with fingerprinting, per governmental regulations to obtain an AGT license.
