Database Engineer

As a Database Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining, optimizing, and securing databases used by our enterprise software products.

This role goes beyond traditional database administration. You will work closely with software engineers, architects, DevOps engineers, QA teams, and business analysts to build scalable database solutions that support modern applications.

You will participate throughout the software development lifecycle-from schema design and query optimization to production monitoring and disaster recovery planning., Database Design & Development

• Design normalized and scalable relational database schemas.
• Create efficient table structures, indexes, constraints, and relationships.
• Develop database objects including:
• Stored Procedures
• Functions
• Views
• Triggers
• User-Defined Types
• Maintain data integrity across applications.
• Design databases for both OLTP and reporting workloads., * Analyze slow-running queries.
• Optimize SQL statements for maximum efficiency.
• Create and maintain indexing strategies.
• Review execution plans.
• Optimize joins, aggregations, and large data operations.
• Improve database response time for enterprise applications.
• Identify and resolve database bottlenecks., * Design database models for new features.
• Review SQL written by developers.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Recommend database best practices.
• Assist with production issues.
• Improve application performance., * Install and configure database servers.
• Perform upgrades and migrations.
• Manage database users and permissions.
• Implement backup and restore strategies.
