Job description

Join a mission-critical project supporting federal background investigation services within a dynamic team environment. As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will develop, extend, and maintain a secure, robust data and AI platform. Your role involves building scalable data pipelines, implementing data governance best practices, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver analysis-ready datasets that meet strict compliance standards such as FedRAMP Moderate, NIST 800-171, and CUI handling. This is a hands-on engineering role ideal for professionals with strong cloud experience, data pipeline expertise, and a passion for working on high-stakes government projects. Your work will directly impact national security efforts and support critical government functions.

Requirements

  • 4+ years’ experience designing, building, and maintaining enterprise-grade data pipelines and ETL workflows
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for data transformation and analysis
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP acceptable) and version control/CI-CD workflows

  • Knowledge of data governance, cataloging tools, and orchestration frameworks such as Airflow or dbt
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a high-trust, regulated environment with minimal supervision
