Job description

  • Lead the end-to-end BI transformation program, migrating legacy reporting from Tableau/SSRS on SQL Server to a modern architecture using Power BI on Databricks (Lakehouse)
  • Own program governance across all migration phases including planning, design, build, testing, deployment, and post-production stabilization
  • Develop and manage integrated program roadmaps, resource plans, and milestone tracking across multiple workstreams (data engineering, BI, semantic layer, AI/ML)
  • Drive cross-functional alignment between business stakeholders, IT leadership, data teams, and external vendors
  • Establish and enforce program-level KPIs, including migration velocity, dashboard adoption, performance SLAs, data accuracy, and business impact
  • Identify and proactively mitigate program risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks, ensuring timely delivery
  • Manage vendor partners and consulting teams, holding them accountable to SOW deliverables and timelines
  • Deliver executive-level updates, including steering committee presentations, status reporting, and risk escalation Implement structured program frameworks (Agile/Scaled Agile or hybrid waterfall) with clear governance rituals

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in technical program/project management, preferably within enterprise data or BI transformation initiatives
  • Proven experience leading large-scale data/BI migrations (Tableau, SSRS, Power BI, Databricks, or cloud data platforms)
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, ETL pipelines, and reporting ecosystems
  • Familiarity with Databricks, Power BI, and Lakehouse architectures highly preferred
  • Experience managing cross-functional technical teams and vendor partners
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills, including executive-level reporting PMP, PgMP, or Agile certifications preferred
