Job description

The Clinical Systems Development Analyst, reporting to the Clinical Systems Development Team Lead, will work with a team of Development, Implementation, Training and Support Specialists and the EHR vendor to develop and support use of correctional health EHR. - Determine user’s business and technical requirements.

  • Evaluate, recommend, and redesign processes.

  • Collect and define requirements; analyze business and user needs, document requirements, and revise existing systems as necessary.

  • Participate in the technical design, test planning, and user documentation processes including analysis of user-identified issues or problems, which may require changes to procedures, standards, or systems.

  • Test and troubleshoot problems within the applications.

  • Develop detailed content design documents.

  • Facilitate validation sessions with users.

  • Develop and publish supporting documentation.

Requirements

Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills., 1. A Masters Degree or advanced clinical degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience serving as a lead in soliciting, defining, and managing requirements for internally and externally developed software in a clinical, allied health, non-allied health, behavioral health, information technology, information services, business, analytics or related area; or, one year of experience in a relevant clinical and/or healthcare administration role/function; or

  1. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university and five years of experience as described above; or
  2. A satisfactory combination of education, training, and experience.
  3. Specialty certification(s) issued by a national commercially available program, state, professional society, academic or technical institution in an area(s) listed above, may be credited on a month-to-month basis toward the required work experience for a total of one year.

Department Preferences

A health care information technology background with a working knowledge of the ambulatory care environment; must be willing to work in a secure, 24/7 correctional environment; demonstrated knowledge and understanding of information technology project development life-cycle; excellent interpersonal and writing skills; ability to work well and communicate effectively with professionals from a variety of agencies and organizations; act as an effective team member.
