Job description
Transform high-level requirements into scalable, mission-ready enterprise systems! In this role, you will apply rigorous systems engineering principles across the entire system lifecycle-from initial concept and architectural design through production, deployment, and sustainment. You won’t just manage requirements; you’ll serve as a vital technical bridge between Government stakeholders, program personnel, and cross-functional Agile Scrum teams. Operating at the intersection of enterprise architecture and specialized data engineering, you will spearhead automated builds, testing, and deployments to deliver advanced cybersecurity capabilities and power complex, customer-wide dataflows. If you thrive on taking ownership of full lifecycle systems engineering processes and scaling high-impact cyber data architectures, you’ll fit right in with Team Nyla.
Requirements
Apache NiFi & Dataflow Architecture: Proven, hands-on expertise building, managing, and optimizing enterprise Apache NiFi pipelines and customer dataflow architectures.
Cybersecurity Data Expertise: Strong domain knowledge working with cybersecurity data, threat intelligence, and network telemetry formats.
Open-Source Data Ingestion: Experience ingesting, parsing, and integrating open-source cyber data into IC data stores and analytic frameworks.
Systems Lifecycle Engineering: Practical experience applying ISO/IEC 15288 process areas across requirements analysis, architectural design, verification, and lifecycle management.
Agile & CI/CD Automation: Hands-on experience within Agile Scrum environments, including building automated test and deployment pipelines.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, PLUS 15+ years of professional systems engineering experience OR Master’s Degree in a related field, PLUS 13+ years of specialized professional experience OR High School Diploma / GED, PLUS 19+ years of hands-on technical systems engineering and dataflow implementation experience in lieu of a degree., ISO/IEC 15288 Process Mastery: Deep familiarity with enterprise-level project assessment, decision management, risk management, and portfolio management frameworks. Stream & Pipeline Engineering: Experience with complementary data transport and queuing technologies (e.g., Apache Kafka, Enterprise Integration Patterns). Containerization & DevSecOps: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD orchestration platforms. Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated experience serving as a primary technical advisor to senior Government executives and customer program managers.
