Job description

Position Summary: Responsible for managing the data integrity and security of the District’s student information system and other assigned systems. Provides system support to end-users and implements the District’s plan for instructional and administrative programs., 1. Provides first-line support of the district’s student information system, such as:

  1. Importing and exporting reliable data;
  2. Updating, editing, and processing student record changes; and
  3. Updating report card and transcript information.

Provides first-line support of third-party data-related systems, inclusive of, but not limited to:

  1. Online registration system,
  2. Learning Management System,
  3. Assessment applications (e.g., FitnessGram, FastBridge Learning, SBAC TIDE), and
  4. Clever application.

Works with the District Data Manager by recommending changes to data systems to improve District operational efficiency.

Assists with the implementation, testing, and on-going maintenance and validation of data-related systems.

Audits and maintains data on a regular basis to ensure data integrity and quality.

Provides training on relevant District data programs on an as needed basis or by special request of the supervisor.

Assists with the creation and maintenance of Data Team process documentation.

Remains current on assigned subject matter. Attends and actively participates in all District technology-based meetings and in external training as needed or requested.

Regular attendance in accordance with assigned work scheduled.

Perform other duties as directed to help drive to our vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our organization’s values.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience: An Associate’s Degree in data management or equivalent work experience. Experienced in a school setting performing secretarial, registrar, or student data related duties preferred.

Preferred Skills: Computer experience in a Windows PC environment. Excellent organizational and task management skills. Ability to manipulate data text files, including .csv files and using Excel tools or like software for importing and exporting between data systems. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and the school community. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all District requirements and School Board policies.
