Job description
- Design, develop, integrate, and support infrastructure hardware solutions for U.S. Navy surface ship platforms.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve system design deficiencies to improve performance, reliability, and security.
- Develop and maintain system security documentation supporting certification and accreditation activities.
- Support system accreditation, certification, verification, validation, and engineering test efforts throughout the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Develop, configure, test, and troubleshoot infrastructure hardware solutions in a laboratory environment.
- Evaluate systems, networks, and information systems to ensure compliance with applicable government security requirements and technical standards.
- Generate engineering documentation supporting hardware integration, configuration management, testing, and system deployment.
- Collaborate within an Agile engineering team to develop secure, scalable, and stable infrastructure solutions.
- Participate in daily Agile stand-ups and technical reviews to resolve engineering challenges and support mission objectives.
- Contribute to the development of common engineering frameworks and reusable infrastructure solutions across multiple systems and programs.
Requirements
U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline plus 5+ years of relevant experience; OR Master’s degree plus 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience supporting systems engineering activities throughout the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Knowledge of systems engineering principles, technical standards, and engineering methodologies.
- Experience developing system security documentation and supporting accreditation or certification activities.
- Experience developing, integrating, configuring, testing, and troubleshooting computing hardware or infrastructure systems.
- Understanding of requirements management and system modeling tools.
- Experience evaluating systems, networks, and information systems against government security requirements.
- Ability to create and maintain technical engineering documentation., * Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, wiring schematics, rack layouts, and parts lists.
- Experience troubleshooting computing hardware in laboratory or customer environments.
- Experience developing electrical schematics using Siemens Capital Logic Designer.
- Experience supporting U.S. Navy or Department of Defense programs.
- Experience working within Agile engineering teams.
- Familiarity with secure infrastructure hardware integration and systems testing.
