SELECTION PROCESS:
Pursuant to Fresno County Personnel Rule 4 - Selection Process, applicants may be required to complete an examination process and successful candidates will be placed on an employment list effective for a minimum of 3 months and certified in final rank order as vacancies occur.
- Tentative Exam Dates: July 22-23, 2026
- Tentative Interview Dates: August 4, 2026
- Additional interviews, including those with other departments, will be scheduled as needed., Extra-help positions are temporary, not entitled to benefits and serve at the will of the department head.
Requirements
Education : Completion of sixty (60) semester units of coursework that is acceptable within the United Statesâ accredited college or university system with at least fifteen (15) units of course work in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field. A copy of your transcripts verifying completion of coursework is required and must be attached to your application.
OPTION 2 :
Experience : Two (2) years of full-time, paid work experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting computer systems and related peripheral equipment or designing, developing, and modifying computer applications.
In addition to the options listed above, the following is also required:
License :Possession of a valid Class âCâ driverâs license, or equivalent., Positions in this classification are in Medical Group II - Moderate Physical Activity (Personnel Rule 8). This group includes positions which require moderate physical effort using arms, legs, back, and trunk in frequent lifting, pushing or pulling of objects weighing (or offering resistance equivalent to) 10-25 pounds, and occasionally over 25 pounds. Generally, bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, reaching, as well as standing and walking are involved., Eligible candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
