Google Cloud Platform Architect - Governance & Security

Role Overview: Design and establish the security, compliance, and governance foundations of the Google Cloud Platform landing zone. Ensure the platform meets enterprise banking standards for security, audit, and regulatory compliance., * Design security architecture baseline for the landing zone (zero-trust principles, defense-in-depth)

• Define organizational policies, guardrails, and compliance frameworks

• Design audit, logging, and monitoring strategy across the organization

• Plan identity governance and access control frameworks

• Collaborate with security and compliance teams to map requirements to Google Cloud Platform controls

• Design secrets management and encryption strategies

• Plan incident response and security monitoring procedures

• Review security designs and provide guidance to team

• Maintain security and compliance documentation

• 7+ years cloud security and architecture experience (Google Cloud Platform preferred)

• 5+ years in regulated industries (banking, financial services, healthcare, or government preferred)

• Deep expertise in cloud security, IAM, compliance frameworks, and audit controls

• Strong understanding of zero-trust architecture, network segmentation, and encryption

• Experience designing and implementing organizational policies and guardrails

• Knowledge of compliance standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, regulatory frameworks)

• Expertise in Google Cloud security services (Cloud KMS, Secret Manager, VPC Service Controls, etc.)

• Experience with security governance and risk management

• Bachelor’’’’’’'’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field
