We are seeking a Performance Test Engineer to support a modernization initiative. This role is focused on non-functional testing, ensuring the platform can handle high transaction volumes, large-scale store rollouts, and real-time pricing updates across multiple downstream systems. Unlike a traditional Automation QE role, this position is dedicated to load, stress, scalability, endurance, and resiliency testing of cloud-native, event-driven applications.

5+ years of experience in Performance Testing and Load Testing.

Hands-on experience with tools such as:

-JMeter

-LoadRunner

-Gatling

-Locust

-BlazeMeter or similar

Experience testing high-volume, real-time transactional systems.

Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices architectures.

Experience validating Kafka-based event-driven applications.

Knowledge of API performance testing and service-level benchmarking.

Experience analyzing CPU, memory, thread utilization, database performance, and application latency.

Strong understanding of performance engineering principles and capacity planning.

Experience working with cloud-based platforms (Azure preferred).

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Experience with Walmart Retail, Pricing, Merchandising, or Supply Chain platforms.

Familiarity with SMART, Price Engine, PriceRT, SWORD, or related Walmart systems.

Experience testing high-throughput Kafka messaging platforms.

Knowledge of Digital Shelf Labels (DSL) and store pricing workflows.

Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or New Relic.

Experience supporting Hypercare and large-scale production rollouts.
