SAP BASIS Consultant

• Support system administration, manufacturing, SCM, PM, QM, Transportation management, and release management., A SAP Basis Administrator is responsible for the technical administration, stability, performance, security, and lifecycle management of SAP systems. While functional consultants (SD, MM, FICO, etc.) focus on business processes, Basis administrators manage the underlying SAP landscape. Core Responsibilities 1. SAP System Installation & Configuration

• Install SAP systems and components
• Configure application servers and databases
• Set up development, QA, training, and production environments
• Perform system copies and client copies

1. System Monitoring & Administration * Monitor SAP system health * Manage work processes * Check system logs and dumps * Monitor CPU, memory, disk space, and network utilization * Ensure system availability and uptime

2. User Administration & Security Support * Create and maintain SAP users * Assign roles and profiles * Lock/unlock accounts * Manage password policies * Support GRC and audit requirements

3. Performance Tuning * Analyze system bottlenecks * Optimize database performance * Tune SAP buffers * Analyze expensive SQL statements * Coordinate with DBAs and developers

4. Transport Management One of the most important Basis functions. Responsibilities:

• Manage transport landscape
• Import/export transports
• Resolve transport failures
• Coordinate releases across environments

1. Patch & Upgrade Management * Apply SAP Support Packages * Implement SAP Notes * Upgrade SAP releases * Perform kernel upgrades * Support S/4HANA migrations

2. Database Administration

Often shared with a DBA team.

• Database backups
• Recovery testing
• Performance monitoring
• HANA administration
• Space management

In S/4HANA environments, Basis often manages:

• HANA Studio
• HANA Cockpit
• Replication
• Tenant databases

• HANA performance optimization

1. Interface & Connectivity Support

Basis supports technical connectivity for:

• SAP PI/PO
• SAP CPI
• RFC connections
• IDocs
• Web Services
• Middleware integrations

1. High Availability & System Architecture

Design and support:

• Load balancing
• Clustering
• Failover
• Distributed SAP landscapes
• Cloud deployments

As a SAP BASIS Consultant, you will be a key player in the consulting team that helps support the end client’s SAP System for BASIS and Security functionality of the SAP HANA System with the Global Team on this project. knowledge transfer with the objective of providing value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape., * Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.

• At least 3-8 years of experience with SAP working on BASIS and/or Security.
• This position may require travel to project/client locations occasionally., * At least 4-8 years of proven experience as an SAP BASIS Consultant on a minimum of one HANA and 1 support experience on projects.. Must have SAP Technical BASIS and some Security Skills, * Expert-level proficiency in SAP Basis Administration, SCM, Plant Maintenance, Quality Mgmt, Transport Management (STMS), and Release Management.
• S/4HANA project experience.
• Aerospace & Defense and/or U.S. Federal manufacturing/MRO is a BIG PLUS.

• CompTIA Security+ certification

• Good knowledge of SAP coding, capacity to debug/understand existing code.

• Experience with middleware/legacy system integrations.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to identify and address complex issues and challenges related to the SAP product.

• Proactive attitude towards driving continuous improvement of the SAP product and processes.

• SAP certification in BASIS and HANA, preferred.
• Knowledge of SAP Cloud ALM coming and the hybrid method to use with SolMan
