Job description
Designs appropriate application systems structures which will provide a solid foundation for well-written and reliable application programs. Experience managing, configuring, and maintaining Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) environments to support secure, high-performing web applications. Skilled in website deployment, SSL certificate management, application pools, DNS configuration, Windows Server administration, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, backup and recovery, and implementing security best practices. Proficient in supporting ASP.NET applications, integrating with Microsoft technologies, and ensuring high availability, reliability, and compliance across enterprise web infrastructure. Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on system optimization, automation, and minimizing downtime.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

Performs necessary investigation, analysis, and evaluation to determine project feasibility.

Helps to develop project cost and benefit estimates to establish project worth including the development of alternative considerations leading to recommendations for new systems or equipment installations or change of existing ones.

Advises appropriate people on the availability of existing IS systems that can be applied to a problem or task.

Develops and/or evaluates previously refined data and selects from a range of alternatives to determine the appropriate action to be taken and develops or
assists in the development of work plans, task sequencing, and the extent to which tasks may be performed concurrently.

Troubleshoot and resolve IIS, web application, and server-related issues to minimize downtime.

Install, configure, and deploy websites, web applications, and virtual directories.

Monitor server health, website availability, and application performance using monitoring tools and Windows Event Viewer.

Administer, configure, and maintain Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) web servers in production, test, and development environments.

Configure and maintain SSL/TLS certificates to ensure secure HTTPS communications.

Optimize IIS performance through application pool tuning, caching, compression, and logging configuration.
Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Business, Computer Science or equivalent field or a minimum of five (5) years experience in systems programming.

Five (5) years experience as a senior programmer analyst or equivalent position.

Knowledge and experience in SQL Server or equivalent relational database technology Visual Studio applications, or other current application software,
AND/OR
Knowledge and experience with large scale hardware and programming techniques including COBOL, ADABAS and IBM OS-JCL.
