Job description

  • Ability to research rapidly evolving AI trends & present finding to team.
  • Monitor industry emerging AI trends and technologies.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI technology to enhance business processes.
  • Laise with various program areas to gain a comprehensive understanding of data science solutions.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, software developers, and other IT professionals to ensure proper implementation of AI models.
  • Contribute to and participate in state-level AI Pilot programs.
  • Facilitate communication between program areas and AI review teams to ensure timely completion of reviews and accurate documentation.
  • Record and maintain proper documentation on AI processes, policies, application configuration and help related materials.
  • Manage and update the request AI tracker.
  • Maintain custom AI SharePoint site to keep data current and relevant.
  • Adhere to DOH and ITS policies, technical standards and security protocols.

Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be a matriculated undergraduate or graduate college student. Documentation of matriculation and enrollment in the Fall 2026 semester must be submitted with your resume.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of AI and AI Governance.
  • Academic or practical exposure of AI regulatory frameworks.
  • Previous coursework or projects centered on AI or natural language processing.
  • Basic understanding of data classification and data privacy principles.
  • Excellent verbal, analytical, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and communicate business needs.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to problem solve effectively
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,) and other computer programs as needed, Some positions may require additional credentials or a background check to verify your identity.

Benefits & conditions

Additional Comments Temporary, part-time, non-competitive. Salary determined by academic level. 20 hours per week during the academic year is required, schedule is flexible. Must maintain matriculated student status to retain employment.

Telecommuting is permissible up to 50% of working hours based on operational needs and at the discretion of the assigned Program area.
