Join Akamai’s Application & API Security team as an Enterprise Architect. You will work directly with some of the world’s largest enterprises. You will design, integrate, and optimize security solutions across cloud, Kubernetes, networking, and API infrastructures. Highly hands-on technical role with strategic architectural exposure. You’ll help customers deploy and operationalize API Security solutions as their primary role.

Become a technical influencer

You’ll work beyond a single product helping customers understand how Akamai technologies work together. Delivering end-to-end application and API protection. Ideal for engineers and architects troubleshooting deep technical problems while also growing into broader enterprise architecture and security strategy. Guiding broader security and application modernization initiatives across API Security, WAAP/WAF, CDN, Bot Management, AI-powered protections, Zero Trust, and cloud security

As an Enterprise Architect - Web, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and implement scalable Application and API Security architectures across enterprise environments

  • Partnering with customer engineering, DevOps, cloud, networking, and security teams to deploy and operationalize Akamai solutions

  • Troubleshooting complex issues involving:Kubernetes, Cloud infrastructure, Networking, API gateways, Authentication flows, Hybrid architectures, Distributed applications

  • Integrating Akamai API Security solutions with:Kubernetes platforms, API gateways, WAF/WAAP solutions, CDN architectures, SIEM and observability platforms, CI/CD pipelines

  • Analyzing API traffic and application behavior to identify:Misconfigurations, Authentication gaps, Performance bottlenecks

  • Developing enterprise architecture diagrams, integration patterns, deployment plans, and operational runbooks

  • Leading customer workshops, technical enablement sessions, and architectural reviews

Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent 7+ years of technical engineering/architecture function in enterprise environments

  • Have 2+ years of experience in custome
