Job description

The Accounting Advisory Senior Manager will oversee accounting positions and quality assurance requirements for the Accounting Advisory practice. The role includes tracking progress and risks on delivering timely services, demonstrating good business judgment, strategic thinking, and providing leadership presence. The Senior Manager will articulate complex accounting issues to diverse audiences and offer practical advice for decision-making. The position is responsible for generating recurring business through technical excellence and meeting deadlines and objectives., * Provides leadership to team including coaching, mentoring and professional development or oversight to a department. Responsible for providing performance feedback on a regular basis.

  • Collaborate on accounting positions and quality assurance requirements.

  • Track progress and manage risks on client service delivery.

  • Provide timely, high-quality, risk-based accounting advisory assistance.

  • Articulate complex accounting issues to finance and non-finance audiences.

  • Offer practical advice to support and defend difficult decisions.

  • Contribute to business development through technical excellence.

  • Supervise and mentor team members, providing performance feedback regularly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Accounting. CERTIFICATION(S) REQUIRED:

  • LICENSURE(S) REQUIRED: CPA

  • 10+ years of professional experience in public accounting or related field, with 3 or more years of supervisory experience.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Advanced knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting, IFRS, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

  • Superior analytical and diagnostic skills.

  • Ability to work in a demanding, deadline-driven environment with a focus on details and accuracy.

  • Adaptability to rapidly changing environments.

  • Solid organizational skills and ability to meet project deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Team player capable of effectively delegating work assignments.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.

  • Comfortable in a hybrid work environment.

  • Significant accounting advisory client service experience, recent executive-level corporate finance experience, and knowledge of accounting rules and regulatory frameworks., Candidates must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States. Cherry Bekaert will not provide work sponsorship for this position.
