Job description

  • Leads architecture and engineering of platforms and infrastructure, ensuring scalable, reliable, and secure environments.
  • Oversees full lifecycle management of systems, including deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and refresh.
  • Implements performance optimization, capacity planning, and automation to support high-demand workloads.
  • Drives integration of systems and tools using DevSecOps and Infrastructure-as-Code practices, aligned with security controls.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to align technical platforms with operational and research workflows; mentors engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, engineering, or related field
  • Eight 8 years’ experience with large-scale infrastructure
  • Experience supporting complex computing environments, including cloud, networking, storage, and automation tools
  • Demonstrated success with IT operations best practices (e.g., ITIL, SRE) and maintaining high-availability systems
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD ā€œpublic trustā€; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their public trust prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an active public trust or suitability are preferred

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience supporting scientific computing or laboratory environments; familiarity with advanced computing platforms.
  • Prior NIH experience

Benefits & conditions

The annual salary range for this position is $113,000.00-$188,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
