Job description
As a systems engineer at GDMS, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the system engineering and functional design of the combat systems of tomorrow. As a member of the system engineering team, you will help ensure functional and technical specifications and standards are complete and accurate, delivered as required to support customer review and approval, to support system development and test.
Requirements
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master’s degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred., * B.S or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related engineering degree from an accredited engineering school
- At least 5 years of experience in a systems engineering role, preferably defense related
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical topics at different levels of abstraction
- Demonstrated knowledge of systems engineering concepts
- Experience developing system design and writing technical requirements including requirements derived from external sources (e.g., electrical interface specifications)
- Experience working in an integrated cross functional team
- Experience using DOORS or system modeling tools is a plus

Workplace Options: Primarily on-site but potential for part time remote work after 6 months. While on-site, you will be a part of the Innovation Drive, Manassas VA facility.
