Job description

NexgenLink is seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable enterprise applications and backend services that support critical business operations. This role requires strong expertise in Java development, modern backend frameworks, cloud technologies, and distributed systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with product, engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver secure, high-quality, and maintainable software solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Web services design?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, This position is well suited for a hands-on engineer who is comfortable developing robust microservices, building scalable APIs, optimizing system performance, and contributing to architecture and technical design decisions. The successful candidate will bring strong problem-solving skills, sound engineering judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams while working remotely within U.S. time zones.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Java software development

  • Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming principles

  • Hands-on experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Hibernate

  • Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, backend services, and microservices-based applications

  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server

  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

  • Familiarity with messaging and streaming technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar tools

  • Strong understanding of software design patterns, multithreading, performance optimization, and distributed systems concepts

  • Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern software delivery practices

  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a remote environment while aligned with U.S. time zones

  • Preferred experience with frontend technologies such as React, Angular, or other modern JavaScript frameworks

  • Preferred experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps

  • Preferred familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, or Redis

  • Preferred experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, or Datadog

  • Preferred knowledge of domain-driven design, event-driven architecture, DevSecOps, and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform

  • Preferred experience in regulated industries such as healthcare, finance, or enterprise SaaS environments
