The Bloomberg System Configuration & Trade Support Analyst is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and oversight of Bloomberg systems supporting trading activities within an introducing broker-dealer environment. This role ensures accurate trade capture, data integrity, reconciliation of trading activity, and alignment between front-office execution, clearing firms, and internal systems. The position plays a critical role in supporting regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and accurate client reporting.
- Configure and maintain Bloomberg platforms (EMSX, TOMS, PORT, AIM, and related modules).
- Manage user entitlements, permissions, and system workflows in line with internal controls.
- Maintain security master data, account mappings, and settlement instructions.
- Coordinate system enhancements, upgrades, and user acceptance testing (UAT), and liaise with Bloomberg technical support.
- Monitor trade flow from execution through allocation and settlement, ensuring accurate trade capture across Bloomberg, internal systems, and clearing platforms.
- Investigate and resolve trade breaks, allocation discrepancies, and booking errors.
- Perform daily reconciliations across Bloomberg, internal systems, and clearing firms; resolve discrepancies in positions, cash, commissions, and trade details.
- Maintain reconciliation logs and implement control enhancements to minimize recurring issues and support audit readiness.
- Support regulatory compliance, including SEC and FINRA reporting, audits, and monitoring of unusual trade activity.
- Collaborate with Trading, Operations, Compliance, Finance, and clearing firms; support advisors onboarding and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience: Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent field.
- 3-7 years of broker-dealer operations or trade support experience.
- Experience in an introducing broker-dealer environment preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Bloomberg systems; advanced Bloomberg terminal proficiency.
- Strong reconciliation and data analysis skills.
- Experience with clearing platforms (Pershing, NFS, Fidelity, etc.) preferred.
- Experience with regulatory reporting (CAT, CAIS, TRACE).
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
- Understanding of trade lifecycle processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Certifications
- Series 7, 24, or willingness to obtain.

Benefits & conditions
The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
Base Pay Range:
Minimum: $56,250.00 USD
Maximum:
$92,500.00 USD
