Job description
The Technology Systems Specialist is an entry-level technical resource within the Information Technology department, responsible for providing end-user support, maintaining workstation and peripheral equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and assisting with the reliable operation and continuous improvement of company technology. This position provides an opportunity to develop broad technical skills while working with more senior IT staff on systems, integrations, automation, and technology projects.
Responsibilities
· Provide technical support for hardware, software, printers, scanners, mobile devices, networking, and other IT systems.
· Respond to helpdesk tickets, emails, phone calls, and user requests in a timely and professional manner.
· Configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and other endpoint devices.
· Assist with Microsoft 365, VPN, email, user account setup, permissions, and employee onboarding/offboarding.
· Maintain hardware inventory, software licensing records, and IT asset tracking.
· Assist with software updates, deployments, endpoint management, and other IT projects.
· Document troubleshooting procedures, system information, and recurring solutions.
· Research technical issues independently and escalate issues when appropriate.
· Assist senior IT staff with business systems, system integrations, automation, reporting, and internally developed technology tools.
· Identify opportunities to improve support processes and the employee technology experience.
Requirements
· Previous IT support, helpdesk, technical training, or comparable hands-on experience preferred.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, and basic networking concepts.
· Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID/Azure, Microsoft Intune, ERP systems, or similar technologies is a plus.
· Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple priorities.
· Willingness and demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing business needs.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive company and employee information.
· Strong problem-solving skills with a commitment to continuous improvement.
· At times, flexible work hours may be required to support projects, maintenance, or business needs.
