Job description

Are you a hands-on technology leader who enjoys solving complex technical challenges while mentoring teams and building lasting client relationships? We’re looking for an experienced Manager of Technology Operations to lead the delivery of IT services across diverse client environments.

In this role, you’ll oversee daily technology operations while serving as a senior technical advisor for networking, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, and strategic IT initiatives. You’ll work closely with engineers, clients, and technology partners to ensure exceptional service delivery, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the day-to-day delivery of IT services for a portfolio of managed clients.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for complex infrastructure and networking issues.
  • Design, implement, and support Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, Intune, Active Directory, networking, and cloud technologies.
  • Oversee cybersecurity initiatives including EDR, MFA, vulnerability management, backup verification, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Manage server, workstation, storage, and networking hardware deployments and refresh projects.
  • Optimize Microsoft licensing and ensure compliance across client environments.
  • Lead infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, Microsoft 365 implementations, office relocations, and security projects.
  • Participate in client strategy meetings and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), providing trusted technology guidance and long-term planning.
  • Mentor engineers, improve technical processes, and foster a culture of continuous learning and accountability.
  • Develop and maintain operational standards, documentation, and best practices.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors including Microsoft, Dell, Lenovo, PAX8, Blackpoint, ThreatLocker, and others.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of IT infrastructure and systems administration experience.
  • 3+ years of technical leadership or management experience.
  • Managed Service Provider (MSP) experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong expertise with Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, Intune, Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware or Hyper-V, networking, and cybersecurity.
  • Experience leading technical projects from planning through implementation.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives while maintaining exceptional customer service.
