Job description

An industry-leading technology and power solutions organisation is seeking an experienced Product Management Manager to lead the development, commercialisation, and lifecycle management of products supporting data centres and other mission-critical facilities.

This leadership role will oversee product management and project management activities across the full product lifecycle, from market analysis and concept development through launch, growth, and end-of-life management. The successful candidate will drive innovation, align product strategies with market needs, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver commercially successful solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Portfolio Leadership

  • Lead product management and project management activities across the product lifecycle.
  • Develop and execute product strategies aligned with business objectives and market opportunities.
  • Manage product roadmaps and ensure alignment across multiple product lines and integrated solutions.
  • Drive successful product launches, commercialisation efforts, and lifecycle management activities.
  • Monitor product performance and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

Market & Customer Engagement

  • Analyse market trends, emerging technologies, customer requirements, and competitive landscapes.
  • Lead Voice of Customer activities to capture market insights and drive product improvements.
  • Work closely with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams to identify future product opportunities.
  • Support business development and strategic growth initiatives.

Project & Process Management

  • Oversee project planning, execution, launch readiness, and product governance activities.
  • Establish and maintain product development and project management processes.
  • Manage product change control, lifecycle management, pricing support, and business system governance.
  • Monitor project progress, risks, schedules, and key milestones.
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Innovation & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with engineering, technology, operations, and commercial teams to drive innovation initiatives.
  • Support development of integrated system-level solutions.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and technology partners to support project execution and product development.
  • Assist with negotiations and management of external technology and supplier relationships.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop product and project management professionals.
  • Support recruitment, training, performance management, and career development activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in technical product management, product development, or project management.
  • Minimum 3 years of people management or leadership experience.
  • Proven experience commercialising technical products and technologies.
  • Strong background managing industrial, electrical, infrastructure, or technology-related products.
  • Experience developing and managing product roadmaps and launch strategies.
  • Strong analytical, commercial, and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience using CRM and ERP systems.
