Job description
The Application Administration team provides technical and administrative support for departmental and enterprise applications for the Division of Residential and Hospitality Services at MSU. This position is part of a hybrid work team and will start fully on-site and transition to hybrid after on-boarding and a probationary time period.
Reporting to the Application Administration team manager, the Application Administrator will primarily perform the following duties:
- Serve as lead administrator for Transact and Sequoia, including support for dining-related housing modules and coordination of system interfaces.
- Deliver technical and analytical support for assigned applications.
- Maintain and troubleshoot divisional applications, including after-hours response for issue resolution.
- Provide user support, define application roles, and coordinate access management.
- Coordinate and support vendor contracts.
- Support hardware for Spartan Cash and culinary point-of-sale (POS) devices.
- Develop and maintain documentation, deliver training, and support business continuity planning.
- Collaborate with operations and other technical staff to resolve issues and implement solutions.
- Manage configuration and change processes; develop and implement system enhancements, reports, patches, and upgrades.
Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in an information technology area related to the duties to be performed; or an equivalent combination of education and experience., Ability to complete tasks on a timeline; experience with project management processes; exceptional customer service values and skills; experience working with vendors; experience managing systems in a complex environment; Experience with database management and enterprise data management; Experience with campus accounting software (KFS). Demonstrate ability to achieve high proficiency with exposure and training on Transact, Sequoia & StarRez applications.
