Satellite Systems Software Engineer Level 5 Location: El Segundo, CA Onsite 1st Shift Active DoD Secret Clearance Required About the Role Join Indotronix as a Satellite Systems Software Engineer Level 5 and play a pivotal role in shaping cutting-edge command and control software for advanced satellite systems. As a senior technical leader, you’ll drive high-impact projects within a collaborative, mission-focused environment, supporting U.S. space defense initiatives and working directly with industry-leading experts. Responsibilities - Develop, maintain, and optimize requirements, architecture, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for high-performance satellite command and control software solutions. - Lead software development efforts using Scaled Agile methodologies within a secure DevSecOps environment. - Integrate complex software components to create robust, fully functional satellite systems. - Perform Product Owner and Technical Leadership duties, providing

architectural guidance and technical direction. - Support program leadership by managing development schedules, integration activities, and cost baselines. - Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to deliver mission-critical software to customers. - Participate in customer demos, technical reviews, and leadership briefings. - Guide Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to achieve seamless project delivery. Required Skills and Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Data Science, or a related STEM field. - 14+ years of relevant experience (or 18+ years with a Bachelor’s degree). - U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD Secret Clearance. - Minimum 5 years in systems engineering or software development for space-based or ground-based systems. - At least 3 years leading software development projects. - Strong coding skills in Java, C++, or Python. - Expertise in Flight Dynamics, Orbital Analysis, Satellite Management Systems, or Ground Control Management. - Hands-on experience with Agile and DevSecOps development environments. Preferred Skills - Product Owner or Technical Lead experience. - Proficiency with SQL/NoSQL databases. - Familiarity with messaging technologies such as Kafka or ActiveMQ. - Experience with data streaming (CCSDS), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab). - Exposure to FQT, FAT, and SAT testing procedures.
