Job description

GeoAcuity is seeking an experienced Consulting GIS Specialist to serve as Service Center Manager and Site Supervisor/Application Developer. This senior leadership role combines hands-on GIS application development with day-to-day management of Service Center staff, operations, and client coordination., Manage day-to-day operations and workload of the GIS Service Center staff; coordinate and schedule GIS programmers, production specialists, and technicians to implement Reclamation policies and directives; oversee GIS operations support, operator training, and quality review of all output products; supervise updating and maintenance of GIS databases and ensure database integrity and user access in accordance with the CGB GIS Management Plan; design and develop enterprise GIS systems and applications using Esri server technologies including JavaScript API and ArcGIS Online; develop and maintain GIS production and user interface tools using Python, VB.net, C#, JavaScript/HTML, ASP.net, and ArcObjects/COM; integrate environmental models (e.g., DHI, CALSIM, LTC) with GIS and develop links to external databases; estimate costs for GIS tasks including staffing and hardware utilization requirements; and project Service Center workloads and recommend hardware/software upgrades.

Requirements

BA/BS in Geography, Natural Resources Management, Earth Sciences, Engineering, or Computer Science (comparable experience accepted); experience in systems/network administration supporting GIS and CAD operations; database management experience analyzing GIS system requirements and defining work requirements; demonstrated experience designing, developing, and implementing GIS program language components and mathematical modeling systems; proficiency with the full Esri ArcGIS software suite including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Online; working knowledge of Python, Arcade, and/or ModelBuilder (3+ years); and must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to pass a federal background check prior to start date., Experience with Bootstrap, Breeze, jQuery, and/or Dojo frameworks; familiarity with remote sensing technologies and GPS/data collection systems; experience with ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE configuration, and enterprise geodatabase management; and knowledge of Bureau of Reclamation or federal water resource management GIS operations.
