Geographic Information Systems Artificial Intelligence Software Applications Computer Vision Computer Programming Data Cleansing Data Transformation Data Visualization Geospatial Intelligence Machine Learning Apache Maven

Job description

NGA’s Maven program is the agency’s lead geospatial AI and machine learning initiative, using computer vision and artificial intelligence to help analysts process imagery and video more efficiently. By combining AI with GEOINT analysis, Maven helps analysts detect important features faster, improve accuracy, and support better intelligence decisions.

As a Geospatial Analyst supporting NGA’s Maven follow-on mission, you will apply GEOINT tradecraft to exploit, process, analyze, and visualize geospatial data in support of imagery acquisition, data transformation, GEOINT production, and mission-critical intelligence requirements. You will work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources while leveraging geospatial analysis techniques, programming or scripting capabilities, and modern analytic methodologies to produce high-quality GEOINT products that support evolving customer needs and analytic modernization efforts. Working both independently and as part of a collaborative team, you will contribute to data enrichment, innovative geospatial solutions, and the continued evolution of AI-enabled GEOINT capabilities while ensuring products meet NGA quality standards.

If you are passionate about GEOINT, geospatial analysis, and leveraging emerging technologies to solve complex intelligence challenges, this opportunity offers the chance to apply your technical expertise in support of high-impact national security missions while helping shape the future of GEOINT analysis.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with willingness to undergo a CI Polygraph exam
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience / or an Associate’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience / or 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Geospatial analysis experience with the ability to build, process, analyze, and visualize geospatial data while applying advanced geospatial techniques and methodologies to support GEOINT mission requirements
  • Experience producing GEOINT products and services to NGA standards and quality, including familiarity with GEOINT production workflows and mission-support processes
  • Experience working with imagery analytical products and conducting multi-INT analysis using imagery, structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources
  • Proficiency with common geospatial software applications, visualization tools, and related technologies used to support geospatial analysis and GEOINT production
  • Experience using programming or scripting capabilities to exploit, transform, and analyze geospatial data while applying evolving technologies and analytic methodologies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey technical information, collaborate effectively with team members, and work independently with self-accountability while supporting positive customer relationships

Desired:

  • Experience working with or developing machine learning algorithms for exploiting overhead imagery and/or motion imagery products
  • Understanding of Activity Based Intelligence (ABI) and application of ABI methodologies
  • Demonstrated regional or functional expertise

Benefits & conditions

  • Flexible healthcare, dental, and vision plans
  • Paid time off (PTO) and 11 federal holidays
  • Matching 401(k) plan
  • Short- and long-term disability, life insurance, cancer insurance, and pet insurance
  • Ongoing professional development and advancement opportunities
