Job description
This position serves as a senior systems integrator and infrastructure strategist. This position leads high-level design, administration, and security engineering across enterprise systems, providing oversight of architecture implementations and ensuring compliance with DoD Cybersecurity requirements. The Systems Administrator 4 is responsible for mentoring junior administrators, managing classified environments, and interfacing with project stakeholders to drive mission success.

Some of these include, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor(s), staying focused on the assigned tasks, and completing other tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex IT infrastructures including classified enclaves
- Lead security remediation efforts and interface with Cybersecurity teams during audits
- Serve as escalation point for advanced system issues and network performance gaps
- Manage technical documentation and system architecture diagrams
- Supervise patching, update schedules, and technical change controls
- Act as SME for virtualization, storage, and advanced configuration management
- Collaborate with program leadership on system readiness and risk mitigation
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent
- 8+ years of systems administration experience in secure environments
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Expert-level experience with system hardening and vulnerability management
- Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills
- If applicable: If you are or have been recently employed by the U.S. government by the U.S. government, a post-employment ethics letter will be required if employment with VSolvit is offered, * CISSP or CASP+ Certification
- Experience managing TS/SCI systems or SAP/SAR environments
- Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams in DoD acquisition lifecycle
- Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture and endpoint detection tools
