  • Identify root causes of equipment and process challenges and implement sustainable solutions to improve reliability and performance.
  • Partner with plant teams to optimize process settings that improve product quality, board strength, flatness, printability, and throughput.
  • Develop and improve preventive maintenance practices, standard work procedures, and spare parts strategies.
  • Deliver operator and maintenance training to enhance capability development and equipment effectiveness.
  • Collaborate across manufacturing, engineering, and technical teams to identify opportunities for equipment upgrades and process improvements.
  • Create clear service documentation, technical reports, and follow-up recommendations.
  • Support safety, environmental, and quality compliance expectations during all customer and plant interactions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through performance metrics, insights, and technical expertise.

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience supporting corrugating and converting equipment in a manufacturing, maintenance, production engineering, or field service environment.
  • Knowledge of corrugating processes, board properties, adhesives, and converting operations.
  • Experience troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and industrial control networks.
  • Experience reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical systems including bearings, gearboxes, shafts, web handling systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Ability to travel extensively to support manufacturing facilities across the Western region.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience supporting corrugator or converting equipment from OEMs including BHS, Fosber, BW Papersystems, Marquip, Agnati, Mitsubishi, or BOBST.
  • Knowledge of board testing methods including ECT, BCT, caliper, moisture, and grammage analysis.
  • Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Experience delivering technical training to operations and maintenance personnel.
  • Experience utilizing remote diagnostic and support tools.
