Job description

Northrop Grumman’s Sentinel Program is looking to add a to support the System Test Team (STT) in . The selected engineer will be responsible for multiple tasks within requirements and verification for STT. The engineer will be responsible for performing tasks dealing with requirements identification, review, allocation, integrated test planning, verification planning, and requirements traceability.

  • Identify, analyze, review, and refine system level requirements in partnership with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and the customer
  • Allocate requirements to test teams (lab, ground, flight) and keep Integrated Test Strategies/Verification Plans current
  • Document verification needs, develop verification artifacts, generate requirement verification reports, and manage approval workflows
  • Create and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for test tools and facilities
  • Collaborate across disciplines-mechanical, software, test, and program management-to gain end to end insight into the Sentinel missile and Northrop Grumman processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience, or 3 years of experience with a Master’s degree.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope (< 6 yrs), with an ability to obtain and maintain SAP approval within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
  • Familiarity with the Systems Engineering process and test engineering practices
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Hands on test engineering or test execution work
  • Systems Engineering experience on aerospace or defense programs
  • Proficiency with requirements management tools (e.g., IBM DOORS)
  • In scope (<5>
  • Prior employment with MMIII or Sentinel Weapon Systems
  • Team Leadership experience

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
