Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with strong Network Engineering expertise to support the reliability, availability, security, and performance of a complex hybrid infrastructure environment. The environment spans on-premises virtualization, cloud platforms, networking, storage, backup solutions, and modern Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices.

This role is ideal for an engineer whose primary strength is networking but who also enjoys working across infrastructure, automation, cloud technologies, and incident response. You will play a key role in maintaining network operations, supporting cloud migration initiatives, driving automation, and ensuring the stability of mission-critical systems., * Maintain the operational health, availability, and performance of enterprise switching, routing, wireless, and perimeter network infrastructure.

  • Design, implement, and manage firewall policies, network segmentation, NAT configurations, and security controls through established change management processes.
  • Administer and support zero-trust networking and secure remote access platforms.
  • Support cloud migration initiatives, including hybrid connectivity, virtual network architecture, gateway deployments, and network security configurations.
  • Automate network operations through Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, and Git-based workflows.
  • Serve as a key escalation point for network-related incidents, troubleshooting complex connectivity and performance issues across hybrid environments.
  • Monitor infrastructure health, capacity utilization, performance metrics, and system reliability.
  • Implement infrastructure changes using automation tools and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on architecture reviews, technical planning, operational improvements, and project delivery.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response activities for critical production systems.
  • Address security findings, support compliance initiatives, and assist with audit requirements.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, network diagrams, operational procedures, and configuration records.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure, Site Reliability Engineering, Network Engineering, or Network Operations.
  • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on ownership of production network environments.
  • Strong expertise in enterprise networking technologies including:

  • Routing and Switching (L2/L3)
  • VLANs
  • BGP
  • OSPF
  • WAN and ISP Connectivity

Deep experience with firewall administration, security policy management, segmentation, and NAT.

Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts, including:

  • Virtual Networks
  • Subnets
  • Network Security Groups
  • NAT Gateways
  • Secure Hybrid Connectivity

Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and network automation using:

  • Terraform
  • Ansible
  • Git-based workflows

Experience operating and troubleshooting Linux-based environments.

Working knowledge of:

  • Linux Administration
  • Windows Server Administration
  • Virtualization Technologies
  • Cloud Infrastructure Services

Experience supporting high-availability, business-critical environments.

Strong troubleshooting, incident management, and root-cause analysis skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions in high-pressure situations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solutions.
  • Knowledge of modern network operating systems such as SONiC, VyOS, TNSR, or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting cloud migration and hybrid-cloud transformation initiatives.
  • Background in regulated industries such as Financial Services, Healthcare, or Insurance.
  • Experience with controller-based or cloud-managed wireless networking solutions.
  • Exposure to monitoring, observability, and performance management platforms.
  • Experience working within Agile, DevOps, or SRE-oriented environments.
