Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Craft Recruiter to join our team in the Construction industry. As a Craft Recruiter, you will be responsible for sourcing, recruiting, and hiring skilled craftsmen to join our team. Your main goal will be to ensure that we have a strong and reliable workforce to meet the demands of our projects. You will work closely with our HR team and hiring managers to identify the best candidates for each position., * Proactively develop business relationships and customer service skills working with Site Point of Contact, candidates, and Project Operations to provide the best service during the hiring process.

  • Recruit, screen, and interview candidates presenting the best talent to Operations for consideration in a high volume, demanding environment.
  • Facilitate internal transfers and referrals ensuring their transition is timely and efficient.
  • Manage a recruiting requisition load of 30-50 job openings at a time (Welders, Pipefitters, Millwrights, Electrician, Operators, Riggers, Ironworkers, etc.; all levels.)
  • Utilize ADP ATS, Smartsheet candidate tracking and various social media platforms, job boards, etc. to source for top talent.
  • Network to recruit active and passive candidates for current positions and build talent pipelines for future career opportunities (attend career fairs, conferences, outreach activities)
  • Extend job offers and see candidates through the onboarding process being available to guide and direct them
  • Actively gain knowledge on recruiting trends, understanding how they align with Graywolf’s business priorities.
  • Collaborate with Operations leaders to determine workforce planning needs and expectations, gaining advanced knowledge of current and future construction projects
  • Create, extend, and bring offers to a close. Demonstrate knowledge of Graywolf’s craft management practices
  • Train and guide hiring managers on recruiting processes on proper utilization and management of requisitions and candidates within ATS
  • Maintains knowledge of employment laws to ensure compliance across the business

Requirements

Must have open availability to travel to and work at any location and potentially be away from home for extended periods of time. May be required to work non-standard shifts, any time any day of the week, including weekends and holidays., * Minimum of 5+ years of experience recruiting craft professionals in Industrial Construction with focus in mechanical and electrical trades. Supervisory experience preferred.

  • Experience supporting the US in craft hiring is preferred
  • Agility and creativity in sourcing strategies and ability to pivot as necessary to support new market areas.
  • Utilize a key eye for detail working with all systems to provide accuracy.
  • Experience in some or all the following markets preferred: Oil and gas/petrochemical, industrial facility, mining, infrastructure, transportation, power, water, and wastewater markets)
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a demanding environment and manage high volume recruitment (20-30 hires per week).
  • Human Resources knowledge such as EEOC, FLSA, diversity recruiting and interview best practices.
  • Knowledge of union and non-union craft management practices.
  • Experience working in ATS systems required; (ADP is preferred)
  • Ability to work individually and in a team environment,
  • Demonstrate the ability to be initiative-taking, proactively reaching out to construction teams and leaders to move the hiring process forward.
  • Proven performance in sourcing, screening, interviewing, developing offers and closing deals
  • Excellent communication and people skills, outstanding customer service and critical thinking skills
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Ability to travel to job sites, The Sr. Craft Recruiter is responsible for the full cycle recruitment of candidates to fill various discipline specific roles from entry level to General Foreman level in multi-site locations. This role also mentors and provides guidance to Craft Recruiters.
