Job description

This is a chance to step into a pivotal Embedded Software Project Lead role where you will directly shape the future of vehicle electrification. Your daily work involves close collaboration with OEMs, setting software development standards to meet rigorous ASPICE and ISO 26262 safety requirements. By integrating Hardware-in-the-Loop testing and championing AUTOSAR and cyber-security advancements, you will directly contribute to the safety and innovation of next-generation vehicles. We are seeking a hands-on leader with deep experience in full-lifecycle embedded software development for safety-critical automotive systems. You understand the complexities of microcontrollers, CAN protocols, and real-time systems, and you thrive when mentoring teams and driving quality. Responsibilities

  • You will oversee software development for production projects, managing releases and content planning to support customer deliveries for Electric Power Steering products
  • Interface directly with OEMs and third-party vendors to negotiate schedules, deliverables, content, and costing for software releases and new features
  • Assure the quality of the software development process to meet ASPICE and ISO26262 standards on all change requests and software development plans
  • Lead personnel management by prioritizing tasks, hiring candidates, and developing the local team’s competency across the entire software development lifecycle
  • Drive pursuit and business development by advancing AUTOSAR and Cyber-Security integration in Electric Power Steering projects
  • Champion next-generation projects including autonomous driving features, traffic jam assist, and over-the-air flashing specifications

Requirements

  • Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science
  • You bring at least five years of full-lifecycle embedded software development with a background in safety-critical automotive systems
  • Strong Embedded C programming experience is required, along with working knowledge of Matlab and Simulink
  • You have experience with Microsoft Project for resource management and planning
  • Proficiency with configuration and requirements management toolchains such as PTC, ClearCase, or DOORS is essential
  • Your track record includes working with microcontrollers like Tricore or Freescale and using tools like CANalyzer or CANape, * Ideally, you have hands-on experience with AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, and cyber security methodologies
  • Familiarity with driver assist features, autonomous driving, and traffic jam assist technologies is a strong plus
  • Experience in over-the-air flashing and redundant steering systems for highly automated vehicles will set you apart
  • Prior leadership in software project management, especially in a global engineering environment, is valued
  • Exposure to Hardware-in-the-Loop testing and vehicle debug and analysis tools is highly desirable
  • A graduate degree in a related field is a nice-to-have but not required
  • Proven ability to train and mentor teams in safety-critical software development is an advantage
