As a Senior Front-End Software Engineer , you’ll design and develop modern, responsive web applications that simplify complex clinical workflows and deliver exceptional user experiences. You’ll collaborate with product managers, UX designers, backend engineers, and architects to build scalable solutions on Oracle Health’s next-generation cloud platform.

What You’ll Do

Front-End Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using React and TypeScript.
  • Build responsive, accessible, and high-performing user interfaces that support complex healthcare workflows.
  • Develop reusable UI components and contribute to a consistent design system.
  • Translate UX designs and wireframes into polished, production-ready applications.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.

Application Integration

  • Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to deliver seamless end-to-end functionality.
  • Participate in application design discussions and contribute ideas that improve usability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues as needed.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Write unit and component tests using modern testing frameworks.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining high code quality.
  • Help improve development processes, build tooling, and engineering practices.
  • Stay current with emerging frontend technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 3-6 years of professional experience developing modern web applications
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.js
  • Experience building responsive, reusable UI components using HTML5 and CSS3
  • Experience consuming RESTful APIs and working with JSON data
  • Experience with Node.js, npm, Webpack, and modern frontend build tools
  • Experience writing unit and component tests using Jest, Enzyme, or similar testing frameworks
  • Experience developing and deploying applications using Docker or other container technologies
  • Understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility
  • Comfortable working in a Linux-based development environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to code quality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or TeamCity
  • Experience using Git and modern source control workflows
  • Familiarity with Maven or SVN
  • Experience building reusable component libraries or design systems
  • Ability to translate wireframes into intuitive, production-ready user interfaces
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to evolving product requirements
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) is a plus
  • Experience building enterprise-scale web applications is preferred

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $87,000 to $187,000 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
