Job description

A client is hiring a .Net Power Platform Developer to work in Charlotte, NC for a hybrid schedule of 2 days per week onsite and 3 days per week from home. Reporting directly to the Application Development Manager, this Developer is responsible for working on new products and services related to Power Platform and .Net. This will include setting up standards, best practices, documenting processes and providing technical support to service owner teams regarding their Power Platform and .Net applications. As a member of the Center of Excellence “CoE” team, you will play a key role in getting the Power Platform and .Net Development peers to follow industry best practices and bring the team up to speed with some of the new improvements on both Power Platform and .Net technologies and governance setup.

Daily responsibilities will include the following:

  • Provide guidance and share best practices regarding Power Platform development (Power Apps – with focus on Model -Driven Apps, Power Automate, etc.)
  • Develop, design, and implement automated application built upon Microsoft Power Platform
  • Design, code, test, deploy, maintain, enhance, and support company software systems
  • Perform Code Reviews and approve Pull Requests for code produced by other team members
  • Use Microsoft Power Platform CoE toolkit to set up standards, consistency, and governance
  • Work in a team-based environment, communicating effectively with all levels of staff and management
  • Produce design and other technical documentation
  • Provide work estimates to project team
  • Troubleshoot applications and make recommendations for improvement
  • Coach and mentor other developers on the team

Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency in current version of Visual Studio
  • Enterprise application development in C#
  • Audit new technologies, put together Proof of Concepts, practice iterative and test-driven development practices, and standardize Power Platform development within the company
  • Experience with relational database (SQL Server) design and development (SQL Server Reporting Service & SQL Server Management Studio)
  • Azure DevOps
  • Knowledge of current software development technologies, trends, and methodologies
  • Power Platform Plugin, Custom Workflow, Client JavaScript, PowerApps Component Framework (PCF) development
  • Experience with source code control (GIT/TFS) and software configuration management tools
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science - Agile Methodology
  • Experience with JS libraries, HTML5, and CSS
  • Experience developing in a continuous integration environment using source code control, automated testing, and build automation
  • Experience with Visio
  • Experience with Microsoft Project
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
