Job description

We are seeking an experienced Application Architect with deep expertise in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to lead the design and delivery of scalable, integrated, and business-aligned warehouse solutions. This role will focus on optimizing warehouse operations, enabling automation, and ensuring seamless integration with upstream and downstream enterprise systems., Lead end-to-end solution architecture for Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), covering inbound, outbound, inventory, labor, slotting, and yard operations.

Drive requirements gathering by working closely with warehouse process owners, operations leaders, and solution architects to define detailed WMS design principles.

Translate business and operational requirements into scalable, high-performance WMS solution architectures.

Design WMS architecture blueprints, system integrations, and data flows supporting real-time warehouse execution.

Develop functional and technical specifications for WMS integrations with ERP, TMS, automation systems (WCS/WES), and external partners.

Evaluate and recommend WMS platforms, extensions, and configurations aligned with operational and IT strategy.

Define and enforce best practices for WMS architecture, security, scalability, performance, and reliability.

Guide implementation teams on WMS configuration standards, customization approaches, and integration patterns.

Support proof of concepts (POCs), vendor evaluations, and technology assessments related to WMS solutions.

Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks within WMS implementations.

Mentor junior architects and technical leads in WMS architecture and warehouse domain best practices., We are looking for an experienced Technical Architect specializing in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to lead WMS architecture, data design, and integration strategy. The role focuses on delivering scalable, reliable, and data-driven warehouse solutions that enable operational excellence and real-time visibility., Lead WMS architecture design and technology strategy for warehouse and distribution operations.

Define and enforce architectural standards, design patterns, and best practices for WMS platforms.

Partner with warehouse operations, business stakeholders, and development teams to translate requirements into robust WMS solutions.

Design and oversee WMS integration strategies, including APIs, middleware, messaging, and real-time data exchange.

Evaluate existing WMS landscapes and propose modernization, optimization, or re-architecture initiatives.

Drive WMS data modeling and analysis, including inventory, order, task, labor, and event data.

Ensure data consistency, performance, and scalability across WMS and connected enterprise systems.

Provide architectural guidance to data, reporting, and analytics teams supporting warehouse operations.

Support vendor selection, POCs, and roadmap planning for WMS technologies and enhancements.

Act as a technical authority for resolving complex WMS architectural and data challenges.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

10+ years of experience in solution architecture or senior technical roles with strong focus on Warehouse Management Systems.

Deep hands-on expertise with enterprise WMS platforms (e.g., Manhattan, Blue Yonder, SAP EWM, Oracle WMS, or similar).

Proven experience designing complex, integrated WMS solutions across large warehouse and distribution networks.

Strong knowledge of warehouse processes: receiving, putaway, picking, packing, shipping, inventory control, labor management, and automation.

Expertise in system integration patterns, APIs, middleware, and event-driven architectures supporting WMS.

Experience with cloud-based WMS architectures and modern architectural styles (microservices, event-driven).

Strong communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills. WMS or architecture certifications (vendor-specific, TOGAF, Azure/AWS Solutions Architect).

Experience with warehouse automation, robotics, conveyors, AS/RS, and WCS/WES integrations.

Background in logistics, distribution, retail, or manufacturing environments.

Familiarity with Agile delivery models and DevOps practices.

Exposure to analytics, reporting, or AI/ML use cases in warehouse operations.
