Job description

As a software engineer, you will assist in the design, development, and implementation of the flight systems software applications. You will collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver high quality, scalable and reliable software products.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) with and a minimum 1 year of related experience.

  • U.S. Citizen with active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope,

  • Understanding of software engineering with C/C++ in a Linux environment
  • Understanding of UML and software design concepts
  • Understanding of software requirements process
  • Understanding of DevSecOps pipeline

Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and a minimum 2 years of related experience, or Master’s degree in STEM with 0 years of related experience.

  • U.S. Citizen with active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope,
  • Experience in software engineering with C/C++ in a Linux environment
  • Exposure to software design with UML and software modeling tools
  • Exposure to requirements and using a requirements management tool
  • Experience with using a DevSecOps pipeline

  • Knowledge of full lifecycle software development

  • Knowledge of a real time operating system

  • Knowledge of embedded software development

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off., Primary Level Salary Range: $65,800.00 - $98,800.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
