Under general direction of the Research Data Manager, Projections and Estimates Section, Office of Research, the Research Data Supervisor I has supervisory responsibility for coordination and oversight of specialized and various analytical functions related to adult population projections, population impact estimates, and program evaluations for the Projections and Estimates Section. Additionally, the Research Data Supervisor I may work independently and collaboratively to perform quantitative and qualitative data-driven research and statistical analysis related to CDCRâs Populations. Research Data Supervisor I uses Statistical Analysis Software (SAS) and/or other statistical tools (such as Python) to support complex data analyses and may use SAS and system modeling software such as Simul8 for population modeling and forecasting; and visualization, spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software (e.g., Power BI, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) to prepare charts, tables, presentations, and research reports for a variety of audiences. The California Department of Corrections Rehabilitation (CDCR) Headquarters has implemented a new automated system to streamline the hiring process. The Human Resources Technology System (HRTS) is an intuitive, user-friendly system that provides the applicant access to real-time updates throughout the hiring process. Requirements
Do you have experience in Statistics?, Applicants who completed their education outside of the US (with foreign degrees/transcripts) must obtain and submit verification of U.S. course/degree equivalency. Foreign education credential evaluation services can be found at NACES | National Association of Credential Evaluation Services. Candidates new to CDCR/CCHCS are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, as well as a Tuberculosis test/evaluation prior to appointment, followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter. When submitting supporting documents, PDF file format is preferred., In addition to evaluating each candidateâs relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate, 2) Describe your supervisory and/or analytical experience working in a fast-paced/multidisciplinary environment on a data-driven project where the data and technical tools were new to you. Identify the challenges you faced during the project, actions you took to overcome the challenges, and the outcome.
