Job description

  • Analyze complex datasets to address specific business questions, such as the impact of pricing on volume demand while considering availability constraints.
  • Develop and implement advanced statistical and econometric models, including constrained hierarchical GLMs, Bayesian hierarchical models, and constrained random coefficient models.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver insights that drive business decisions.
  • Utilize cloud-based platforms (e.g., Databricks) to manage and analyze large scale datasets efficiently.
  • Maintain code version control using systems like GitHub to ensure collaborative development and faster onboarding of new team members.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data science and statistical modeling.

Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist with a strong academic foundation in Statistics and extensive hands-on experience in working with complex datasets. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to explore data with a clear project goal in mind, utilizing advanced statistical and econometric models to derive actionable insights. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and effectively in a cloud based (Azure) environment., * Strong academic background in Statistics

  • Proven experience working with complex and messy datasets with minimal direction.
  • Expertise in advanced statistical and econometric models, including constrained hierarchical GLMs, Bayesian hierarchical models, and constrained random coefficient models.
  • Experience with large scale datasets in cloud-based environments (e.g., Databricks).
  • Familiarity with code version control systems (e.g., GitHub).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a business environment where data driven decision making is critical.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment., * Master s degree or higher in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 10 15 years of relevant experience in data science or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and complex statistical models.
  • Proven track record of delivering actionable insights from data analysis.
