Job description

This is a high-level engineering position focused on the design, development, integration, and testing of software for missile and weapon systems. You will work in a hybrid capacity to deliver robust, real-time software solutions that ensure the operational success of mission-critical defense platforms., * Software Development: Design, write, and maintain efficient C++ code for safety-critical missile and weapon system applications.

  • Real-Time Systems: Develop and support applications running on VxWorks real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Integration & Testing: Perform hardware-software integration for missile simulators and test equipment; lead verification and validation (V&V) activities.
  • Collaboration: Work within multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure compliance with stringent defense and safety requirements.
  • Technical Artifacts: Maintain rigorous technical documentation and software development artifacts throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Extensive software development experience using C++ and VxWorks RTOS.
  • Embedded Knowledge: Understanding of real-time embedded principles, SMP (Symmetric Multi-Processing), and multi-core architectures.
  • Security Clearance: Active DoD Secret Security Clearance is mandatory.
  • Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is strictly required., * Experience with Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) or Anti-Air Warfare (AAW) systems.
  • Familiarity with missile flight test programs, telemetry formats, and weapon system test equipment.
  • Previous experience in Defense, Aerospace, or Naval systems programs.
